Will there be Halal food at Singapore Day 2018?
There will be food prepared by hawkers who operate Halal-certified stalls in Singapore. These dishes will not contain pork or lard. Look out for the signs indicating “No pork, No lard” at the front of their stalls.
Are there storage facilities, such as lockers, at Singapore Day 2018?
There will be no storage facilities on-site. Attendees are strongly encouraged to travel light and not bring bulky or prohibited items to the venue.
What should I bring for the event?
To facilitate smooth entry into the event grounds, please remember to bring along a print-out of your electronic ticket and a valid photo-ID (student matriculation cards, passports, Singapore NRICs, and driving licences). As it is an outdoor event, you may wish to bring along picnic mats, sunglasses, sunscreen or umbrellas to stay comfortable and ensure you enjoy the event regardless of the weather.
Am I allowed to bring my pet to the event?
Certified service animals such as guide dogs for the visually-impaired are welcome, but we seek your understanding to leave other pets at home.
Are wheelchairs or prams allowed at the event?
Singapore Day is an elderly and child-friendly event. Hence, it will be accessible for wheelchairs and prams.
Will there be security screening at the door? Are there any items I should not bring to Singapore Day 2018?
The safety and overall experience of our event attendees are of utmost importance to us. Security screening will be conducted at the event venue before admission. Please note that the following objects are strictly not allowed on event grounds:
- Drugs, with the exception of medical prescriptions;
- Explosive materials, including fireworks/firecrackers and munitions;
- Weapons including, but not limited to, firearms and knives;
- Toxic or poisonous substances, such as insecticide and arsenic;
- Radioactive substances;
- Corrosive substances;
- Pets, with the exception of certified service animals;
- Alcoholic beverages;
- Bulky items, such as tents, deck chairs, bicycles and scooters;
- Flammable materials, including aerosol sprays, cans, and lighters;
- Sharp items, such as penknives, scissors and Swiss army knives;
- Fragile items, such as glass bottles.
Is smoking allowed on the grounds at Singapore Day 2018?
Singapore Day is a smoke-free event. No smoking is allowed at event grounds during Singapore Day 2018, and there is no designated area for smoking.
Are drones allowed on the grounds at Singapore Day 2018?
Flying of drones for recreational use will not be allowed at the grounds of Singapore Day 2018. This takes into consideration the massive crowd size that we are expecting at the event. However, drones meant for official event photography may be deployed by the Organiser.
